About the Opportunity

This well-established outpatient practice specializes in spinal care, headaches and TMD, chronic pain problems, thoracic outlet syndrome, and vestibular/balance difficulties.

The team draws on a range of established manual therapy and pain science approaches, including McKenzie and NOI.

The practice serves patients of all ages in a spacious facility with up-to-date gym equipment, including weight machines, gym balls, and rollers.

The practice is committed to excellence, both in patient outcomes and in the way it supports its clinicians. Rather than trying to be everything to everyone, it focuses on specific areas of practice. That focus lets the team go deeper, refine their expertise, and challenge each other to grow.

The team thrives on continuous learning and shared growth. They meet twice a month for education and hands-on practice, and all staff are encouraged to share insights from their continuing education courses. Curiosity is welcomed here, and clinical excellence is a shared goal.

The clinic itself is bright, modern, and spacious. The gym is filled with natural light, and the treatment rooms are private, comfortable, and generously sized.

Sonoma County offers a lifestyle that's hard to beat outside the clinic, too. There are endless opportunities for hiking, cycling, climbing, and water sports on both river and ocean. It's a great place to live for someone who loves the outdoors.

The practice is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate is dedicated to delivering excellent patient care, eager to grow clinically, and enjoys working closely with supervising Physical Therapists in a team-centered environment.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, the candidate will work side by side with experienced Physical Therapists who are invested in their clinical development.

The workday is designed to support both quality care and quality of life. Physical Therapist Assistants treat patients one-on-one in 40-minute sessions, with dedicated documentation time built into the schedule.

What You Will Do

Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist for a wide range of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. Provide one-on-one patient care focused on functional outcomes, including therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, neuromuscular re-education, and patient education. Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with clinic, payer, and California Physical Therapist Assistant requirements. Collaborate with Physical Therapists and clinic staff to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes. Participate in staff meetings, clinical education, and community outreach as needed.

What We Are Looking For

Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Active California Physical Therapist Assistant license, or license eligibility with an exam date already scheduled. New graduates are encouraged to apply. CPR/BLS certification. Outpatient orthopedic experience is preferred. An interest in chronic pain or vestibular care is a plus. Familiarity with or interest in the practice's three main areas of emphasis: general orthopedics, chronic pain, and vestibular disorders.

The practice is looking for someone with:

A passion for and genuine interest in the art and science of physical therapy. A willingness to learn and to share ideas. Flexibility and resilience for the tough days. Just enough humility to know that we all have more to learn. A supportive attitude toward patients and co-workers alike. Realism, and an understanding that the practice is both a service and a business.
