The practice is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join its outpatient team in Santa Monica. This is an opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic and supportive environment, working closely with supervising Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, the candidate will work side by side with experienced Physical Therapists in a supportive environment, with opportunities for career advancement.
What You Will Do
Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist. Administer therapeutic exercises and functional activities, apply modalities (such as heat, cold, and ultrasound), and perform manual therapy techniques. Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with clinic, payer, and California Physical Therapist Assistant requirements. Follow safety protocols and infection control measures to keep patients and staff safe. Follow legal and ethical guidelines, including patient confidentiality and professional boundaries.
What We Are Looking For
Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Active California Physical Therapist Assistant license, or license eligibility with an exam date already scheduled. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Ability to manage a busy caseload and multitask effectively. Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with patients, their families, and staff. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Schedule
Monday to Friday. Clinic hours: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Choice of 8-hour or 10-hour days.
Compensation and Benefits
The position pays $30 - $38 per hour. A sign on bonus of $2,000 for new hires is offered.
