About the Practice

This Los Alamos clinic is a nearly all-orthopedic outpatient practice that treats scheduling as a clinical decision. Patients are seen one-on-one for a full 45 minutes with no overlapping or double-booked visits, so clinicians get the time to evaluate carefully and treat with their hands rather than rushing between rooms.

Mentorship is a real part of the culture here rather than a line in a job posting, and the team stays small and supportive: up to two staff Physical Therapists at the location working directly alongside the clinical director.

The Role

You will carry your own outpatient orthopedic caseload in a true one-on-one model. Full-time is preferred, though the client is open to part-time for the right candidate.

Because visits are unhurried and schedules are never stacked, the day is predictable and the focus stays on the patient in front of you.

Location

Los Alamos, NM. The client is ready to move as soon as qualified candidates are found. New Mexico is a big part of the pitch here: a genuinely affordable place to live and raise a family, with quick access to the outdoors and none of the grind of a large metro area.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, with hours offset anywhere between 7 AM and 6 PM. As long as the week totals roughly 40 hours, the schedule is flexible and negotiated with you, and some staff choose four 10-hour days.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary runs $75,000 to $110,000 per year depending on experience, with productivity bonuses available on a structure worked out during the offer conversation. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are both open to negotiation.

Benefits include group health insurance with vision and dental, paid time off, and a pension and 401(k) plan.

Requirements

An active New Mexico Physical Therapist license, or eligibility to obtain one, is required. Any experience level will be considered, and new graduates are welcomed at the lower end of the salary range given the mentorship available on site.

Interview Process

A phone interview comes first, followed by either a video or in-person interview depending on how the initial conversation goes. The client runs as many rounds as it takes to feel confident in the fit.

Team and Culture

The clinic culture is supportive and collaborative, built on full one-on-one visits and steady mentorship rather than volume targets. You will work day to day with a small team alongside the clinical director.
